The bead work is of course the most magnificent part of the gown - each detailed band is almost a full 2" and these are made of gold cord topped with beads

This one (and the other found with it) was made by hand applying sequin after sequin on a cotton cording - gold under the gold and black under the black - and then forming and stitching the resulting bands of sequins into the cap as you see it

They are such a gorgeous and vibrant color and the decadence of the heavy coverage of sequins just adds to their luxurious appeal
