they were widely used before and during the war especially as Germany's access to natural fibers diminished

RA.35 Mortar Sight women's The front paper has someOriginal RA. 35 sight for the 8cm Gr. W. 34. The sight and box have been over painted postwar. I have had good luck in the past stripping these with acetone to get back to original paint. The sight itself is in pretty good condition. The box is a little rough and dented with a small hole. The leather strap is postwar.
