When working with ring stretchers and mandrels, the graduation marks engraved on these tools can leave unwanted impressions on the inside of a ring's shank. These nylon sleeves slip over the steel to create a smooth, protective barrier between the tool and the metal, preserving the finish and integrity of the ring's interior.
