It laid the foundation for the Mexican Athletic Club (MAC) established in 1931, a Mexican American team that played throughout Northern California. One of the homegrown heroes on the MAC team was Ernie Cervantes Sr. known as Mr. Baseball. Throughout the years, baseball has been a great source of pride within the Mexican American community. Visiting players and their
