Bathroom Colour:Black The building was demolished shortlyA tiled bathroom inside Female Wards 9 and 10 of Callan Park's Kirkbride Complex, paint peeling from the walls and the surfaces stained by years of disuse. Cold light pushes through a grimy window, picking out the decay. The Kirkbride Complex opened its first ward in 1884, designed by Colonial Architect James Barnet on the principle that the building itself was part of the cure. Part of the Callan Park series.
