The ladle is done in the Repouss pattern which was first produced in 1828. The back of the handle is engraved with AW in block script and the date 1940 below. The ladle is marked on the reverse with S. Kirk & Son Inc. for the maker, Sterling, and Shreve, Crump & Low for the retailer. This makers mark was used from 1925 and 1932. The condition is excellent.
