Further drizzle in early October set and accelerated the botrytis. The first picking at the end of September was of dried, sweet grapes, but the quality and health of the botrytised grapes in mid October (all harvested by 28th October) meant that no sorting in the vineyard was necessary. The wine is astonishingly rich, both intense and precise. Notes
