Shepp is supported by pianist Horace Parlan, bassist Wayne Dockery and drummer Steve McRaven. Black Ballads is available as a limited edition on yellow vinyl and is part of the ongoing celebration of jazz record label Timeless Jazz' 50th Anniversary celebrations.
