In 2008 I headed to the Colorado Mountains and stayed at a friends cabin outside of Marble

I have found there are many different elements in Civic Center Park which I have been able to use to build upon a scene which I capture

Not too far from sea level we came across this area and positioned myself on the rocks next to it in order to capture the lines and textures of the scene

Ridges in the Mountains Size:16"x20" using a 70mm lens handHeading south on the Alaska Railroad from Fairbanks to Anchorage is quite an experience. In early March one year I took this trip and was fortunate to have nice conditions, and yes cold, as the train made the twelve hour journey. As we passed through the Alaska Range the low clouds provided scenic views along with temperatures near zero as I watched from an open window in the train.
