Seeking Refuge Wildlife I photographed this bird's “commonI took this photo in 2016. I had traveled from my home in Minnesota to Kodiak Alaska by way of Anchorage. With a layover in Kodiak I was to fly out in the early morning to a remote island to photograph Kodiak bears for a week. As it so happened when I woke the next morning Kodiak was totally fogged in cancelling all travel for the day. At first I was quite upset at the prospect of loosing a precious day with these magnificent animals. However, the
