The 63 Fat AV set was born out of a desire to create a classic early 60s Alnico V set

a mix of Alnico 3 Poles in the Neck and Middle alongside an Alnico 4 loaded bridge pickup

This mix of Humbucker and soapbar P90 where originally envisaged for one of our in house guitars (namely a beautiful Patrick James Eggle Macon Jr) but before we had the chance to actually install them

The pickups are a key element of this early genius of guitar design and this set represents our take on the earliest form (pssst: they are our favourites as well)

The removal of the largely superfluous magnet height mechanism allows for the use of custom spec magnets to fit standard humbucker route depths.
