Walking through a woodland above Corris in West Wales I came across this striking image of trees being recently felled by high winds and subsequently sawn in two so the path could continue unhindered

and the wind (not cold despite the exposed position and time of year) was high

Nostell Priory In what is pretty muchI was commissioned by the National Trust team at Nostell Priory to create an image of the house and grounds to print at one of their evening craft events. Visiting the property I was drawn to the large specimen trees that grow through the lawn at the back of the house.
