The 63 Fat AV set was born out of a desire to create a classic early 60s Alnico V set

In order to compensate for the change in bobbin dimensions we employ a few little tricks and tweaks to get as close as we possibly can to the soapbar/dogear version

This all original 58 is a particularly good one and specifically its bridge PAF is one of the best I’ve played

minimal compression etc were all key in coming up with a recipe that just worked

While this is far from an easy task to pin down and of course the pickups loaded into those historic guitars varied a fair amount, this set is everything we personally think of when considering these beautifully musical pickups.
