So on an evening where there were clear skies I headed out to photograph

I noticed the reflection of Republic Plaza and after moving back and forth along the curb came up with the above composition

A tree near the State Capitol was full of color which feel onto the fresh snow and brought the contrast of the seasons into light

I also zoomed in to the holiday lights and played with the focus to get the above effect for the image

Just after arriving to Mendenhall Glacier you could start to see them form in the sky however using a longer exposure they definitely do show up better with the camera. t was a chilly evening with the clear skies so after spending a little over an hour at the location I headed back to the warmth
