Released on August 8, 1988,[1] by Ruthless Records, cofounded by N. W. A member Eazy E, the album was produced by N. W. A members Dr. Dre and DJ Yella. (Incidentally, this is N. W. A's only studio album with producer Arabian Prince, gone since late 1988, and with rapper Ice Cube, gone since late 1989, although both
