Brit54 identical to originals and theBrit54 Shell: The shell is an original WW2, Brititsh manufactured MkII shell with a stainless steel banded edge. The stainless steel factory chinstrap lugs are the MkIII type and are unmarked. The factory stamps under the flare are read B L98 1 1941 (B is what remains of BMB Briggs Motor Bodies Ltd Dagenham). When acquired the shell was covered in numerous lays of paint; the top layer was evidently a tan colour; hard to tell. The shell was stripped to
